Habitat: Inshore over sandy bottoms.

This popular angling fish is only found from Angola south to the Cape and is mostly taken on light tackle using prawn, mussel or pilchard bait. This fish is tasty and is a popular table fish.
Like it’s cousins, it feeds on prawns, shrimps and other small invertebrates, scouring the bottom for food.

Habitat: Dicht bij de kust over zandige bodems.

Deze populaire hengelsportvis wordt slechts gevonden van het zuiden van Angola aan de Kaap en op lichte uitrusting gebruikend garnaal, mossel of pelseraas meestal genomen. Deze vis is smakelijk en is een populaire lijstvis.
Als het is neven, voedt het op garnalen die, garnalen en andere kleine ongewervelden, de bodem voor voedsel schuren.
